DMK behind our defeat, says PMK
The activities of DMK activists in the last five years were the reason behind the defeat of the PMK (in the recently concluded Assembly elections), said leaders of the party at the PMK's general council here today.
The general council meet, attended by PMK founder Dr S Ramadoss, former Union Minister Anbumani Ramadoss and other leaders, saw fiery speeches from the office-bearers of the Vanniyar-dominated party.

Speakers at the meeting blamed the DMK for the PMK's defeat in the elections. 'In future, the PMK should not forge alliance with either the DMK or the AIADMK. Instead, Ramadoss should form a strong alliance where the PMK should allot seats to others,' they said.
It may be recalled that Ramadoss and his son Anbumani have been blaming the DMK for the defeat of the alliance in the recent State assembly elections. As expected, the mood was clearly reflected by other seniors at the general council today.
